Starting to work part-time at a cafe after quitting the job as a curator at an art museum, Sachi has moved to an apartment room where a regular at the cafe recommended. The whole renewal of her job and address is for overcoming the incident that her partner, Yuki, lost her life by suicide when they were living together. Gradually, Sachi chooses to live her own life, being watched over by her uncle and aunt who have been taking care of her from a young age, by the cafe manager and other friends.


Winner of the Grand Prix and the Audience Award at FIDMarseille. It was also presented at San Sebastián Film Festival.

Kyoshi Sugita
Kyoshi Sugita

Born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1977. He studied at Rikkyo University, in Tokyo, and worked as an assistant director in films of directors such as Kiyoshi Kurosawa and Makoto Shinozaki. Sugita made some short films and the features A Song I Remember (2011), screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and Listen to Light (2017).
