For Sabesp, fostering culture is a key initiative for the development of the citizen. The company complements its social and environmentally changing performance by promoting the improvement of quality of life of more than 28 million customers in 365 cities in São Paulo State.

In this sense, the company sponsors projects in the fields of literature, visual arts, music, dance, theater, circus, cinema and preservation of cultural heritage. Not by chance, it is one of the companies that invest the most in film at São Paulo State and on the national context, one of the top three investors of the segment.

Present at Mostra in 11 editions, in this year of 2016 it could not be different. Since it has joined the Fomento ao Cinema Paulista Program in 2004, close to 180 works have benefited through the Audiovisual Law. Among the works, several productions have earned prominent positions in such important international festivals as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, as well as Oscar nominations.

Since 2011, the concern for social inclusion of people with special needs positions Sabesp among the pioneering entities in terms of movie theater accessibility by requiring the productions sponsored by the company to make available caption and audio description resources, allowing hearing and visually impaired people to accompany the film.

Likewise sanitation, Sabesp believes that the spread of culture is also an important source for the development of civilization, for opportunities arising and life change.
