Divided into three segments, the film adapts short stories from the book of the same name written by Sérgio Porto, or Stanislaw Ponte Preta. All three episodes are about women who live in Rio de Janeiro: Paula, who desires a convertible; Júlia, an unfaithful bride; and Marlene, who becomes news after shocking her neighbors by wearing short clothes.
