With fifty million Danish kroner in his pocket at the age of 60, retired entrepreneur Erik Svensson decides to start life anew in Spain with his beautiful girlfriend Helene. Erik is at the airport, about to leave, and is obliged to return, for his lawyer is there with a letter from Lotte, a former girlfriend, where she tells him he has a daughter 26 years old. Spain can wait, and Helene too. Erik must find out what there is of truth in this story. In this, he is to be assisted by Anders, his driver. The journey is to reserve surprises for him and some are to change his life forever.

GERT FREDHOLM

Born 1941, he graduated in film directing from the Danish Film School in Kopenhagen, where he became a professor. Before One Hand Clapping, he directed three other features: The Case of The Missing Clerk (1971), Terror (1977), and Little Virgil and Orla Frogsnapper (1980).
