In the words of director Bertrand Bonello: “On May 3rd, 2006 I saw Ingrid Caven’s show at the Cité de la Musique in Paris. I knew her albums, her music, her voice, but I had never seen her perform live. What I discovered that evening was like nothing I had ever seen before. There was just one more show left, the following night. I absolutely had to film her.”

BERTRAND BONELLO

Born in 1968, he divides his time between Paris and Montreal. As from a background of classical music, he made his first film in 1997, a short film The Adventure of James and David, where he was responsible for the script and for the sound track. He directed two features: Quelque Chose d’Organique (selection for the 99 Berlin Festival), and Le Pornographe (40th International Critics Week in Cannes 2001).
