Francis, a 60-year-old author, arrives in Venice seeking peace and quiet to write his next crime novel. Looking to rent a small apartment, he meets Judith, a former model turned real estate broker, who is much younger than him. For Francis, it’s love at first sight. They move to a remote house in Torcello Island together, but the obsession Francis has with his wife`s daily whereabouts takes a dark turn.

ANDRÉ TÉCHINÉ

Born in France in 1943. He began working as a film critic for Cahiers du Cinéma. His feature film debut was French Provincial (1975), followed by Rendez-Vous (1985, 10th Mostra), winner of the best direction prize at Cannes; and I Don’t Kiss (1991). Mostra has screened his films My Favorite Season (1993); Wild Reeds (1994), winner of the César Awards for best film and best director; Thieves (1996), Strayed (2003), The Witnesses (2007) and Unforgivable (2011).
