Parents and teachers are gone. Meanwhile, a girl and two boys become a love trio. Rui, Nuno, and Rita cross three different spaces and time to try to be alone. A soccer match, a swimming-pool party, the beach. It’s an unstable balance – the trio is too close to a love triangle. Meanwhile it’s time for the spellbound; of gestures, communication, of body language. Impotence stems from a lack of awareness to organize feelings and of a language that allows them to communicate. One can only guess: does Rui love Rita, Nuno or just the fun of it? Does Nuno love Rita and depend on Rui? Will Rita, the passive leader of the game, love anyone? The central character of the trio, all we know of her is that she closes her eyes to take refuge in an inner ether - the clouds are reality. Meanwhile, it’s the interval that keeps them afloat.
