Michael was a police officer who had a strong belief in law and order. However, a ricochet strikes and he accidentally kills a twelve-year-old boy. At this point, Michael’s life begins to unravel. His eyesight worsens, he loses his job, and he struggles to take care of his son. When Michael finds work illegally pirating Bollywood films, he starts receiving phone calls from the father of the boy who he accidentally killed, threatening to kill his son when the boy turns twelve. Set in contemporary Kolkata, the film tells the story of a father’s paranoid race against the clock.

Born and raised in Kolkata, India, he is the son of director Raja Dasgupta and the grandson of documentarian Harisadhan Dasgupta. Michael is his first feature film.
