The traumatized Captain Ignat is ordered to capture and bring back two deserters, handing them over to a military court. Accompanied by a soldier, he travels to Moscow with 24 hours to find the runaways. They manage to capture one of them alive, an awkward young man who uses humor to disguise his mortal fear of returning to the military. The man gradually changes Ignat’s attitude towards life until a mafia boss starts to follow them, looking for revenge.

ALEXEY MIZGIREV

Born in the town of Myski, Russia, in 1974. He studied philosophy at Tomsk State University and later film directing at the Moscow Film School VGIK. His feature film debut was Hard-Hearted (2007), followed by Kamennaya Bashka (2008) and Buben Barban (2009). The Convoy is his fourth feature.
