Jesus Juarez, known in his neighborhood as Chucho, has always played “the Devil” in his town’s traditional Nativity Play… but this Christmas, things have changed. When Chucho arrives late to auditions, the new pastor of the church, Edmundo Posadas, has already cast all the roles. Now, Chucho must enter into an epic battle between good and evil, between himself and the new pastor, to recover the role that was his.

Born in Mexico City in 1976. He studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematografica (CCC). His first short film was Hugoool (2004). He began directing feature films with Meet the Head of Juan Peréz (2006). Pastorela: A Christmas Play is his second feature.
