Yosef Tawila runs an alehouse and misses his days of glory as a musician for The Turquoise Ensemble. Amram, the son of an old friend of Tawila’s, walks in one day and bears the bad news: his father is dying of lung cancer. He hands Tawila the notations of The Weeping Springtime Symphony, the piece that was never played due to a lethal car crash that Tawilla was at fault for and killed two members of the band. Tawila understands that his old friend wishes to hear the piece they both composed before he departs from this world. He decides then to reunite a group of unique musicians. If he succeeds, he’ll have granted the last wishes of his band-mate, and perhaps heal his own tortured soul.
