The cargo ship MV Rozen is heading for the harbor when it is boarded and captured by pirates in the Indian Ocean. Amongst the men on board are the ship’s cook Mikkel and the engineer Jan, who along with the rest of the seamen are taken hostage in a cynical game of life and death. With the demand for a ransom of millions of dollars, a psychological drama unfolds between the CEO of the shipping company and the Somali pirates.

TOBIAS LINDHOLM

Born in Denmark in 1977, he graduated in screenwriting from the country’s National Film School in 2007. Lindholm wrote episodes for the television series Borgen. He is the co-screenwriter of Submarine (2010, 34th Mostra) and The Hunt (2012, 36th Mostra), both directed by Thomas Vinterberg. He co-directed, along with Michael Noer, his first feature film, R (2010). He is also the director of Hijacking (2012, 36th Mostra).
