Director Davide Ferrario takes as point of departure, the same issue as was posed by Pasolini in his film The Rage, of 1963. “Because our lives are overruled by discontent, by anxiety, by fear, by the fear of war, by war”. Ferrario also followed Pasolini’s formula when he produced film-editing against power, injustice, prejudice, intolerance, and savagery on the part of the bourgeoisie, using the material collected from young laborers from Falchera, a suburb of Rome.

DAVIDE FERRARIO

Born in Casalmaggiore (Cremona), in 1956, he majored in Anglo-American Literature. The author of essays, novels and scripts, Ferrario also wrote reviews and organized cycles and events on cinema. He directed short films, documentaries and features, such as La Fine della Notte (1989), We All Fall Down (1997), and Guardami (1999). He is also co-director of the documentary Partisans (1997), together with Antonio Leotti, Marco S. Puccioni, Guido Chiesa, and Daniele Vicari (Chiesa and Vicari are also part of the Pasolini Oggi project).
