Born in Memphis in 1971. She moved to Brazil at a young age and majored in film at the Universidade Federal Fluminense. She directed short films and music videos, aside from various television shows and mini-series such as Quando Éramos Virgens (2006) for GNT channel. Her feature film debut was Como Ser Solteiro (1997). She also directed Mais Uma Vez Amor (2005) and Desenrola (2010).
