Steve, an American physician, arrives at the Pohang airport with his 13 year-old daughter Barbie. Mang-tak welcomes them and takes them to his brother Mang-woo’s house, where 13-year-old Soon-young takes care of her younger sister, Soon-ja, and Mang-woo, her mentally-challenged father. Steve has come to Pohang to adopt Soon-young, but the girl can’t accept the fact that a stranger is going to be her father. Soon-ja uses every trick to be adopted instead of her older sister. Meanwhile, Barbie and Soon-young share a true friendship.
