Pedro returns home to a small mountain village in Mexico after years of working in the United States. He finds his daughters older and more distant than he imagined. His wife still has the same smile. The villagers think this year’s crop will be bountiful, and there is work in a growing city nearby. But the locals are used to a life of insecurity and their thoughts are often with family members or distant work opportunities north of the border.

Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1976. He studied at the Columbia University. His directorial credits include the short Time and Again (2009) and the feature Aquí y Allá (2012, 36th Mostra), winner of the Cannes’ Critics Week. Life and Nothing More is his second film.
