Inside a bare hunting cabin, a woman writes her own story. She doesn’t do it out of pleasure, but to save herself from losing her mind. The rays of sunlight evoke her memories. With her friends Hugo and Luise, she drives through the landscape of the Austrian mountains. The couple sets off that evening on a short hike. They promise to return before dawn. But the next morning, they have not yet returned. She decides to go and look for them and takes Luchs along with her. Suddenly the dog begins to howl and stops walking. The woman hits an invisible wall. Bewildered, her hands touch the inexplicable barrier that separates her from the rest of the world.
