During the 14th century, half of Eurasia is occupied by the Golden Horde, the state of Mongols-Genghizides. Europe waits in trepidation for its attack, anticipating the death of the Christian civilization. The Great Khan is killed by his brother, Janibek. Their mother Taidula should now pass judgment: to persecute the conspirator or to bless him for the reign.

ANDREY PROSHKIN

Born in 1969 in Russia. He majored in journalism at the Moscow State University and later took courses in screenwriting and directing. He worked as an assistant director and directed a few shows Russian television. He directed the features Spartak and Kalashnikov (2002), Games of Moths (2004), A Soldier`s Decameron (2005), Minnesota (2009), and Orange Juice (2010).
