Yoyes

Based on real fact, Yoyes tells the compelling story of the first woman to occupy a position of responsibility within the ETA, a Basque terrorist group, and who returns from exile in Mexico to re-start life. To ex-revolutionary Yoyes, things are not going to be as planned. Abroad, she has evolved: she studied at a university, worked for the UN, and became a mother. Only, in all of this time, violence was still the main news in the Spanish newspapers. Yoyes tries to forget and to be forgotten; however, her years in exile, in truth, served to augment the myth about her person. Unhappily, to her misfortune, her former companions in the struggle view her return as treason. Yoyes loves her country: she wants to blend in with the landscape, but autumn is to bring her more than just dead leaves.
