Hubert is a French policeman given to unconventional methods. He is forced by his boss, who does not share his views on work, to take two months holiday, and he returns to Japan where he lived twenty years before as a secret agent. He discovers that his ex-girlfriend Miko, who mysteriously disappeared, has recently died and left him her fortune. He has never forgotten Miko, and her disappearance has been a source of distress all of these years. To his surprise, he discovers that Miko has, in fact, been assassinated and that he is the father of a girl of twenty, Yumi. To solve the problems that arise, on how to protect his daughter from the Japanese mafia, again, he is to resort to his unconventional methods.

Nasceu em 1953. Graduou-se no IDHEC e dirigiu três curtas-metragens de sucesso, incluindo "The Subtle Concept" e "Homicide by Night", dois tributos a filmes americanos. Mal havia terminado "Je Hais Les Acteurs", começou seu segundo longa-metragem "L`Été en Pente Douce".
