Member of the jury at the 22nd Mostra, the filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami has looked upon with favor the city of São Paulo and its habitants, dedicating his thoughts to a homeless girl who became the subject of a script, “A Good Citizen “. In this story, Kiarostami pays homage to the citizens of the city who, although living in poverty, struggle to keep some dignity. The chaotic architecture of São Paulo, alternating new and ruined neighborhoods, is the scenery where these helpless citizens improvise their daily lives, trying not to loose anything good that is left from it.
