The world thinks of Bettie Page as a sex symbol of the 50’s and as the pin-up queen. She felt so comfortable with her body that used it as a way to express herself. Pioneer of the sadomasochist esthetics, her almost naked pictures combined with the use of fetish elements shocked the conservative morals of the time. Due to her audacity and exhibitionism, the American Senate decided to investigate Page’s life – a humble Nashville (south of the USA) girl, who was brought up under strong religious severity. Page got married when she was still a teenager; she was attacked at home and suffered a collective rape. After that, Page decided to go to New York City and be an actress. She became famous, however, after taking pictures for male magazines mixing lewdness, naivety, religiosity and eroticism.
