In December 7th 1998, ten years after the earthquake that destroyed the Armenian city of Leninakan, the makers of Lux Aeterna return to film the city and its inhabitants. They will find a land haunted by inhuman pain.

SERGE AVEDIKIAN

Born in Yerevan, Armenia, 1955. At the age of fifteen, he moved to France with his family and later studied at the Meudon Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. After decades of working as an actor on film and television, he went on to direct the animated shorts Life Line (2002), One Fine Morning (2005) and Barking Island (2009), winner of the Palm d’Ór for best short film at Cannes. Paradjanov is his directorial feature film debut.
