In the city of Halle-Neustadt, brother and sister are on the run, and a boy wants to escape. It’s a tender love threatened by unresolved dependencies. A poetical post-punk fairytale about love and responsibility in an age of social disaffection.

HEIKO AUFDERMAUER

He was born in 1976 in Fürth, Germany. From 1998 until 2001 he studied Theatre Sciences at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Between the years 2001 and 2007 he studied Directing at the HFF Konrad Wolf. He was second assistant director in The Tulse Luper Suitcases (2004), by Peter Greenaway, and assistant director in Verwehte (2006), by Tobias Dörr. He directed short-films like Die Schleife (2000), Der Sprung (2001), Nie Wieder (2002), Unter Uns Ist Japan (2003), Jusuf (2004), and Mother Durga (2005). A Time for Fishes is his first feature film.
