Tuba does all she can to keep her family together. She gets up early and works hard in a factory for the upkeep of her house and to bring up her three children, in spite of every possible adversity. Her daughter, for instance, is pregnant and is beaten frequently by her husband. Her youngest son is about to venture into a political career. Her oldest son, Abbas, cannot come to terms with the life of poverty they lead and is on the verge of trying to leave the country and immigrate to Japan. Before this, in order to get the money to travel, he is involved with the drug traffic. Tuba is in despair, for this will imperil not only her house, but the lives of all in her family. The turmoil that involves the family eclipses the prospects of new parliamentary elections in the country. The priority for Tuba today is to keep everyone together and bring hope in place of despair to her household.
