While they pursue dreams that no longer make any sense, mere mortals negotiate their desires. Father and son endeavor to compose a sound track of their lives. A professor and his muse rhyme poetry with fantasy. A journalist and an actor are dramatic characters of an opera buffa.

MAURO GIUNTINI

Born in Brasília in 1965 he is a Master in Cinema and Video by the Chicago School of Art Institute. A video artist, he made an experimental repertory and directed commercials and documentaries for TV in the nineties. He directed short fiction films O Perfumado (2002) and O Jardineiro do Tempo (2001) and a documentary on the landless, Por Longos Dias (1998). He is a professor of audiovisual at the Brasília Catholic University. Mere Mortals was his first feature.
