Ari works as an ambulance doctor for Turku Emergency services and is into one night stands in his free time. Tina meets Ari on the beach and goes home with him. She wants Ari to be her life-long partner and introduces him proudly to her closest friends, among them, Ilona and Sting. Autumn comes. Six friends try to patch things up once more. However, in Ilona?s and Sting?s wedding, masks are dropped and the truth comes out. A curtain of mercy sure doesn?t fall on this shameful stage, but in the middle of blood and tears, Ari notices that he?s starting to feel something.

Finnish director, he studied cinema at the Finnish University of Arts and, later, in the United States. Credits before Lovers and Leavers (2002) go to a series of comedies and dramas for TV, such as "Kotikatu" (1995) and "Academy of the Hearts" (1998), as also documentaries, such as Ensi Tiistaina Brahms (1998). The 24th Mostra showed his fiction feature Restless (2000).
