Leaving the country orphanage where he grew up, Sumin comes to Seoul to study Art Design. However, after losing his job at a factory due to layoffs, he finds himself working as a prostitute in a gay bar. Initially Sumin resists the advances of Jaemin, who comes from a rich and conservative family that doesn‚Äôt accept his sexual identity and who tries everything he can to win Sumin’ heart. Eventually, Sumin succumbs to Jaemin’ advances. But after experiencing a brief happiness as passionate lovers, Sumin and Jaemin’ relationship falls into heartache and tragedy.

LEESONG HEE IL

Born in 1971, Leesong Hee-il studied Sociology at college. He directed the shorts Always Like Sunday (1998), Sugar Hill (2000), Good Romance (2001), Macho Hunter (2002) and Tell Me You Want to Sleep with Me (2003). He meticulously portrays characters in struggle with the hindrance to love, which is his favorite subject. No Regret is his first feature.
