In his dreams, Jean-Marc is a brave knight, a theater star, an artist who has women to his feet and to his bed. But, actually, he’s very different. Common citizen, his job is to patiently hear people who go to his department looking for help. At home, his wife is always too busy to pay him attention, and his sons, teenagers, don’t give him a dam. The temptation of keeping living in his dream land is very big. But Jean-Marc decides to give himself a last chance in the real world. In the cast, there’s a rare appearance as an actor by cult singer Rufus Wainwright.

DENYS ARCAND

Born in 1941 in Canada. Since the 1960s, he has directed short films, documentaries, fiction movies and TV shows. In 1986, he directed The Decline of The American Empire (10th Mostra), winner of the critic’s prize at Cannes Film Festival. In 2003, he continued the story with The Barbarian Invasions (Opening Film of the 27th Mostra), winner of the Oscar of best foreign language film. He also directed The Age of Ignorance (2007, 31st Mostra).
