Alumni from an American college hold a secret party where drugs and drink are dished out on silver platters. And they amuse themselves betting fortunes on poor fighters tackling each other in an empty swimming pool for the sum of a few miserable dollars. Based on fact, the film shows the other side of typical poverty in Brazil - from the point of view of those in power. To lend realism to the fighting, The Pit brought professional fighters to the set.
