Radio Corazón

A movie that recreates Chile’s most successful radio show of all time. Radio Corazon is composed of 3 fun, sexy and romantic short films based on true stories as told by the show’s listeners to “Rumpy”, an unparalleled radio host. Story 1: The Initiation - Three funny teenage girls have vowed to become “women” before finishing high school. Two weeks before one of them turn eighteen, she comes up with a very unusual plan to fulfill her promise. Story 2: My Daughter In Law - A young man wants to marry his fiancée, but his buddy at work will do anything to stop him. When the arrangements for the marriage begin, his fiancée moves into the house of his mom, which forever changes the close relationship between mother and son. Story 3: Fairy Tale - The matriarch of the traditional and aristocratic Covarrubias family, who owns the largest vineyard in Chile, has a terminal disease. From her death bed, she constructs an outrageous plan to take care of her family after her death.

Born in Vinã del Mar in Chile on 1969. He studied audiovisual communication at the Arcos Professional Institute in Santiago, Chile. An audiovisual communicator and radio broadcaster, Artiagoitia was production producer, technical producer, and camera assistant for more than 100 commercials at Filmocentro Cine, 1991 through 1996. In 1997, he developed television programs for Channel 2; Maldita Sea, El Compra Huevos and Arriba las Manos. He was responsible for creation and animation of the radio program La Jaula del Mono, Los Bacalaos Daos, El Chacotero Sentimental, and El Club del Cangrejo, from 1994 until 2007. In 1999, he participated as executive producer, actor, and script consultant for a feature - El Chacotero Sentimental, directed by Cristian Galáz. He directed and wrote Las Historias del Rumpy, with 21 short fiction films for the program Noche de Juegos, for the Chile National Television. Radio Corazón, his first feature, was awarded a prize for best plot at the Lisbon Festival Hola in 2008.
