"Carlos gazed at Samantha, dazzling in her dress of red silk."Sybille raises her eyes from her favorite novel and meets Victor?s gaze. Now 30 years old, she still lives with her parents ever in wait for the love of her life.Victor is attractive, available, and mysterious. She takes him home. He takes a liking to the environment and moves in. She introduces him to her parents. Victor, however, is hardly like Carlos from Sybille?s book. Nothing is good enough for him: neither a new car, nor the room he is offered by her parents. While her father, incited by Victor?s grandiose vision, dreams of dubious business deals, and her mother decides to remodel her beauty parlor, Sybille clings to the illusion that she has, at last, found happiness. She is out to do all she can to safeguard her great romance.

ANNE VILLACÈQUE

Born in Toulouse in 1963, she majored in Political Philosophy and studied at the École Nationale Supérieure-Ulm and at FEMIS, a Paris school for cinema. In 1991, she began directing educational films, and also worked in television. She directed her first short film Nos Vacances, in 1993. Petite Chérie is her first feature.
