In Alaska, Paul is a hard-working travel agent trying to find an answer to financial problems. His sharp-tongued wife, Margaret, is having trouble with her health. He comes across a frozen body and is led to believe he has found an answer to his difficulties, by resorting to money from the insurance. However, the investigator from the insurance company, Ted, is to stand in his path.

He won the Bafta prize for his work on TV in England with the programs The Fast Show and Shooting Stars, of 1994. He was nominated for the same prize for Cold Feet and The Royale Family. His first feature Ali G Indahouse was made in 2002.
