An independent Canadian film set in Montreal, with characters reminiscent of the universe of Jim Jamursh. The story tells of a Czech immigrant, Luka, who meets a woman, Jo. He is unemployed and his apartment is in bad condition. He wanders about town with nothing to do, looking for a job. She survives by stealing from small shops and launderettes with her boyfriend Ted and brother Johnny. She aspires to be a writer and is fascinated to read the poems of Leonard Cohen with her friend Monica. Ted and Johnny begin to dream out loud and there is talk of robbing a bank and commiting more ambitious crimes. When Jo refuses to go along with the new plan, they set off for another city without her to carry out the plan.

STEVEN CLARK

Steve Clark born in Montreal, he studied Political Science and Theater at the University of Halifax, in addition to cinema and communication at Concordia University. He decided to travel and was a teacher and a punk-rock DJ for two years, in Japan. He worked in several minor jobs related to cinema. Looking for Leonard is his first film. Matthew Bissonnette born in Montreal where he studied English and Cinema at Concordia University, he was the leader of a punk-rock band in Japan, and studied law at Queen`s University, but gave up his career to devote himself to cinema. Procurand Leonardo is his first feature.
