Alicia, a film student, is about to fail the year because she cannot finish her thesis about women associated with convicts. These women refuse to be interviewed because they cannot afford to be stigmatized. She meets Elsa, who agrees to an interview as long as her son, a prisoner, is also interviewed. Alicia feels this is blackmail and tries to get out of it, but finally goes to the jail, where her world collapses.

LILIANA PAOLINELLI

Born in 1968. She studied film at the National University of Cordoba. She made videos and short films, among others La Botella, ¡Motín!, Comedias and Tener o no Tener. She was awarded a National Fund for the Arts scholarship in 2001. She made a foray into theater with her play Lugar Común, which was staged as part of Theater for Identity (Teatroxlaidentidad) in 2002. Her project Lengua Materna participated in the Toscano Sundance Laboratory in 2005. Proper Eyes is her first feature film.
