Dan Millman is a teenage gymnast who dreams of taking part in the Olympics. He has everything that a youngster might wish for at his age: trophies, friends, fast motorcycles, and girlfriends. One day, however, Dan?s world is turned upside down when he meets a mysterious stranger by the name of Sócrates, who, with all of his life experience is able to overcome obstacles by spiritual strength alone. After a severe lesion, Dan has the assistance of Sócrates and of a girl by the name of Joy. He realizes he still has a lot to learn, and that he will have to leave behind several concepts to become a peace warrior and, thus, find his destiny. The story of the film on the powers of the human spirit to overcome, are part of the autobiographical novel by Dan Millman, Way of the Peaceful Warrior. Millman has a cameo as the "Man in the Car".

VICTOR SALVA

Born in 1958, in California, USA, he began his career in 1986 with a short horror film, Something in the Basement, that drew the attention of director Francis Ford Coppola. The film director helped him to produce his first feature, Clownhouse, in 1989. Only in 1995, did he go back to making a film - The Nature of the Beast, that became a cult film. The same year, he also concluded Powder, on a young albino with special powers, winner of the Gérardmer Film Festival, in France. In 1999, he made Rites of Passage, awarded a prize at the Santa Monica Film Festival. True to the horror mode of film, he made Jeepers Creepers in 2001 and a sequel in 2003, both co-produced by Coppola. Peaceful Warrior again takes up the mystical premises in Powder.
