A film about power that also talks of freedom and co-existence. The focus is a large family whose reality, although delightful, is subject to the hardness of human deficiencies and the absence of contact with the external world. There are seven dwarf brothers and sisters that live in a circus, do not study and have no fixed abode. And it is with this erring universe that the film deals, lending a voice to small people as fantastic as they are adorable and amusing : a sad report passionate, funny and moving. Such is the world of the circus.

ROBERTO BERLINER
ROBERTO BERLINER

Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1957, he graduated in journalism from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Directed documentaries, video clips, commercials and television shows. He started his career with a super-8 camera in the 1970s and in 1993 he founded TvZero, the company through which he directs and produces his work. Directed the documentaries Born to be Blind (2004, 28th Mostra), Pindorama: The True Story of the Seven Dwarves (2008), with Leo Crivelare and Lula Queiroga – Audience Prize at the 31st Mostra, Herbert Up Close (2009) and Ruckus at the Circus (2013, 37th Mostra). The latter two in partnership with Pedro Bronz. He also directed the fictional feature film Julio’s Gone (2014).
LEO CRIVELARE

Roberto Berliner - He was born in 1957, in Rio de Janeiro. He is a documentarist and director of video clips and publicity films. He founded the TvZERO producers and directed short films, Angola (1989), Street Sounds (1997) and The Tuning of the Inner Side (2002). His first documental feature Born to Be Blind was launched in 2005 and was part of the 28th Mostra. Léo Crivelare - He was born in 1973 in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. He is a journalist and has worked as director of images and photographer for seven years. In 2004, he co-directed a short collective documentary A Cubana. Lula Queiroga - He was born in 1960 in Recife, Pernambuco. He directs institutional films, documentaries and publicity videos and composes sound tracks and jingles.
