The phenomenon of mass migration from the rural areas at the end of the forties and the early fifties in Mexico. Cities in the north grew and entire communities were abandoned.

ROBERTO ROCHÍN NAYA

He studied film at Loyola University in Southern California. His debut film, Ulama, el juego de la vida y la muerte (1986). He filmed the docudrama El misterio de los mayas (1994) in IMAX, introduced the Motion Control visual effects system in Mexico, has supported and coproduced animated shorts. He made screenplay adaptations of the novels Asesino solitario and El amante de Janis Joplin by writer Elmer Mendoza. He directed the short Paso del Norte (2002), selected for 26ª Mostra.
