In the spring of 1938, in the mountains in northern Chile, a flying object fell, in flames, later referred to as the Chilean Sphere". Investigation of the episode by a team, filming, came upon an important discovery. A secret space program had been developed in the Soviet Union before World War II. Scientists and military authorities developed a spaceship 23 years before Yuri Gagárin ever went to space. This is a documentary with elements of fiction and amusing features that are false concerning the first Russian cosmonauts

ALEXEY FEDORCHENKO

Born in Sol’-Ileck, Russia, in 1966. He graduated in economy and made a course of screenplay at the Russian Institute of Cinematography. Director, producer and screenwriter, he made his first film, David, in 2002. His feature film The First on the Moon (2005, 29th Mostra) won the award of best documentary of Horizons section at the Venice Film Festival. Fedorchenko is also the director of works such as The Railway (2007, 32nd Mostra), Silent Souls (2010), winner of the FIPRESCI Prize at the Venice Film Festival, and Angels of Revolution (2014).
