Doing his homework, the boy Ahmad, realizes he took his friend’ notebook for mistake. Knowing the teacher demands that the homework has to be done in the notebook, he decides to go look for his friend. He goes to a nearby village trying to find the boy. There, he meets several people and experiences the daily routine of each one of them in a slow and real rhythm. The village is located on the top of the mountains and it has been the scenery of two other films from Kiarostami. With this story, the director started a trilogy exposing the life from the people who live in a quiet village in Iran, portraying how they restore their lives after a devastating earthquake. Where Is My Friend’ Home? (1987) is the first film from the trilogy. Soon after it, he made And Life Goes On (1992, 17th Mostra) and Through The Olive Trees (1994, 18th Mostra).
