Nothing and nobody will stop Roy Tunt from watching his birds. One more tick in his dog-eared notebook and Roy will have recorded all five-hundred and sixty seven species on the British List. He senses that the conditions are ideal and the time right to welcome an elusive vagrant from the Asian steppe, the rare and beautiful Sociable Plover. With a packed lunch and a framed photograph of his ex-wife for company, Roy watches and waits. Unbeknownst to him, another visitor is on his way.
