Jack lives on a desert island with his daughter of 16, Rose. He has sheltered her from external influence ever since she was very young. Now, she bombards him with questions about her future. When Jack brings his mistress, Kathleen, and her two sons, Rodney and Thaddius, to live with them, Rose goes through experiences that show her an obscure side of her personality. As from then, the situation verges on chaos.

Born in Roxbury, United States, in 1962. A writer, director and screenwriter, she is known for Angela (1995), Personal Velocity (2002), The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005, 29th Mostra) and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009, 32nd Mostra).
