Eva is a 22-year-old who gets pregnant and is in two minds about whether she should have an abortion or assume the role of mother. Over the course of the pregnancy, she experiences a difficult phase in which she has to deal with fears as to an uncertain future. Her day-to-day life is marked by the worries of pregnancy, her father?s illness, a troubling relationship with her mother, by problems with her friend Ivone, a prostitute, and the strange cumplicity of irreverent Michal, a youth on the edge of an abyss. Eva is obliged to grow up too fast and rediscovers the world in the measure that she develops an ever more affectionate relationship with her baby, who becomes her

main confidante.

Born in 1973 in Cracow, Poland. She graduated from the Lodz Film School. She directed the feature films Happy Man (2000); Stranger, a segment of Visions of Europe (2004, 28th Mostra); 33 scenes from life (2008), which won Silver Leopard at Locarno Film festival; and Elles (2012).
