If it is true that to fall in love is above all to build a love story, then how can Graham one day love Irene, when, to him, each day is the first day and each time, the first time? Because of trauma experienced six months previously, Graham is incapable of remembering the events occurring more than ten minutes before, in an unbearable process of ceaseless deconstrueing of his memory. In spite of this severe disability, Irene feels she is permanently attached to him as she has never felt before, and suggests to the one she loves that she can remember enough for both of them, until such a time as he recovers his faculties. Novo poses questions such as: Where is truth in a state of love? In that which we think we believe or in what the other presents us as being true? A reflection of the mental state of the protagonist, the structure of the film is built from a mosaic where all - as, for instance, the relationship between two lovers - is sorted into fragments, where there seems not to exist permanent form.
