The world is opening wide for little 13-year-old Swetha, taking her first hesitant steps into the world of adults. And, she discovers her uncle, Gautam, has a secret life of his own. Every night, he dresses up as a woman. When his niece questions him, he evades the issue and hastily departs for an annual festival in a small town in India. Swetha goes after him to bring him back, and is to undergo a process of discovery, into a new world, with new friends and different values.

SANTOSH SIVAN

He graduated from the Institute of Cinema and Television in India, in 1984 and started on a career as a film maker, working with some of the legendary directors of Bollywood, such as Aditya Bhattacharya. In 1995, he began to make films of his own directed at children`s film festivals. He gained international renown with his second film,The Terrorist (1998).
