Rulo is a fifty and a former ex-bass player in a rock band famous in the seventies. He is to work a crane in a building in construction, but must first undergo a series of tests. At the same time, he becomes involved with Adriana, owner of a kiosk, with his storm past as part of the band in evidence. Life is further complicated by a mother to take care of and a son aged nineteen who aspires to follow in his footsteps and form a rock group. So much so that, having lost his job on the crane, Rulo eventually leaves Buenos Aires to work on another building site. After a long period of adaptation, building operations are interrupted and Rulo returns home. He will once more have to begin from naught, in this production awarded the Prize for Best First Film by the FIPRESCI Jury at the 1999 Venice Film Festival.
