Mr. Catra, also known as Wagner Domingues Costa is one of the stars in Rio de Janeiro funk dances that are one of the main sources of amusement for those who live in the favela shanty towns and on the outskirts of the city. He refers to himself as "The Faithful One”. Mr. Catra sings of day-to-day life in the favelas, of the permanent battle between gangs and the military police, of sex, and hope for the future. At the age of 36, Mr. Catra is head of a family of "wives", mothers to his nine children, with a dozen faithful girlfriends, true to him alone.

ANDREAS JOHNSEN

Born in 1974, in Kopenhagen, Denmark. He began a career as a photographer and has worked on television since 1998. He is also active in the cultural world, promoting concerts and hip hop festivals in Kopenhagen. Mr. Catra, The Faithful is his first documentary.
