Ever since high school, when he saw E.T. The Extra-terrestrial, Brian Herzlinger has felt drawn to actress Drew Barrymoore. Twenty years later, he tries to arrange for a meeting with her, although he only just aspires to a career as film maker. His classmates encourage him to try and film this meeting with the filmstar - with a video camera and the money won on a game show in which he has answered questions on Drew, no less. The result is an inspired story of the dream of an unassuming youngster and an amusing account of encounters, a celebrity cult, and the power of passion.
