Mona is a spirited girl from the working classes, who meets up with spoiled Tamsin, during the summer holidays. They discover they have a lot to learn from one another and several experiences to explore together. Behind a sharp mind, Mona conceals intelligence that has never been put to good use. Tamsin is well-bred, lives in a great house and belongs to the elite. The contrast between the two is enormous, but they become great friends. In fact, they fall in love.

PAWEL PAWLIKOWSKI

Born in Warsaw, Poland, and moved to the United Kingdom in 1977. He studied literature and philosophy. In the end of the 1980s, Pawlikowski left British TV where his job was making documentaries, to make his first feature film, Last Resort, in 2000. He is also the director of titles such as My Summer of Love (2004, 29th Mostra), The Woman in the Fifth (2011) and Ida (2013), winner of the Academy Awards of Best Foreign Language Film.
