The end to the government of Argentine President Fernando de la Rua is the starting point to this documentary that analyzes the mechanisms that led Argentina to plunge into a crisis without precedent in all of its history. Argentine filmmaker Fernando Solanas not only investigates the reasons for the downfall of his country, but also points to those principally responsible for the crisis. According to him, the high debts, ultraliberalism, corruption, and indiscriminate privatization were the results of a ruinous policy on land employed by Carlos Menem and his crew, with the assistance of western multinationals and the cumplicity of international organizations.
